(HUNTINGBURG) - Officers arrested a work release participant Friday for battery and strangulation.
The Huntingburg Police Department were notified of the location of 29-year-old Cory M. Brown of Huntingburg, who was wanted for failing to return to work release. Warrants for Brown's arrest were issued after he did not return to the Dubois County Community Corrections Center on October 9, 2014.
Brown also faces Level 6 felony charges of domestic battery and strangulation stemming from an incident that occurred October 8, 2014.
On Friday, officers received information that Brown was at apartment number 18 of the Oakridge Apartments in Huntingburg. They arrived at the apartment at about 3 p.m. and found Brown. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Dubois County Security Center where he is being held without bond.
