(UNDATED ) - A public dedication of the renovated Milton-Madison Bridge is set for the end of the month.
A ceremony featuring the governors of Indiana and Kentucky had been rescheduled from earlier this month.
At nearly a half-mile long, the bridge became the longest in North America - and perhaps the world - to be slid laterally into place when it was moved 55 feet from temporary piers onto refurbished permanent piers this past April.
The bridge reopened to traffic on April 17.
