(HARTSVILLE) - Bartholomew County officials say at least two people narrowly escaped an early morning house fire. They were both transported to the hospital with minor burns.
A firefighter reported flames coming through the roof when they were dispatched to the blaze at around 2:45 a.m. Sunday.
At least four volunteer fire departments were called to help put out the flames.
Several hours later, crews remain at the scene of the fire at 110 S. Elm Street in Hartsville.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
