(INDIANAPOLIS) - Governor Mike Pence today issued the below statement.
"On Thanksgiving, most Hoosiers will gather around dining tables large and small to give thanks for their blessings. In the Pence household, we will do the same. For the love and support of families and friends, and the cherished memory of those who have gone before, we will reflect and give thanks for all that God has bestowed on us.
"Here in Indiana, we are especially thankful for the men and women of our Armed Forces, many of whom are far away from their loved ones this Thanksgiving. As they defend our freedom, at duty stations around the globe, let them know that they are never far from our thoughts and prayers.
"And as we count our blessings and give thanks, let us keep in our hearts those who struggle during this special time of year. Let every Hoosier seek out opportunities to give generously from what we've been given. During this time of tradition and abundance, let us again do what Hoosiers always do by extending a helping hand, a warm meal, or a word of support to our neighbors in need and refocus ourselves this season and the next on a spirit of gratitude through giving.
"Happy Thanksgiving, Indiana."
