(TERRE HAUTE) - A mother is in jail after police say she drove drunk with her children in the car.
Just before midnight Friday night, Indiana State Police worked a two-vehicle crash.
It happened at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Hulman Street in Terre Haute.
A truck, driven by Renee Whitby of Pennsylvania, was stopped westbound on Hulman Street for a red light.
The truck was hit from behind by an SUV, driven by Jakita Brown of Terre Haute.
The impact forced the truck onto 41.
No injuries were reported.
But, during the crash investigation, a trooper says she tested positive for alcohol at 0.248 percent.
Her three children were with her in the vehicle. Their ages were seven, five and one month.
Only one child appeared to be properly restrained in vehicle.
Brown was arrested.
She's preliminarily charged with operating while intoxicated, three counts of neglect of a dependent and other citations.
The three children were released to their father.
