(GIBSON CO.) - An Oakland City man is arrested after authorities say he hurt an animal control officer.
Oakland City Police Chief Alec Hensley says the animal control officer went to 59-year-old David Hume's house to get his dog.
Hensley says the officer had the dog on a rope when Hume grabbed it from her hurting her wrist. Hensley says Hume had been ticketed before for not keeping his dog on his property.
Hume was arrested and taken to jail on a battery charge. He was released after posting a $550 bond.
