(FISHERS) - Police continue to search for clues in the killing of a man walking in his own neighborhood over the weekend.
Neighbors are being warned to be on alert. The man's body was found Saturday evening at around 7 pm at Windermere Park near 96th and Mollenkopf Road.
The victim was identified as 73-year-old Henry Kim. The coroner found signs of trauma to Kim's body, including a gunshot wound and a separate injury to his neck. His body was found in the grass near a retention pond.
On Monday, the Fishers Fire and Police Departments were on the scene at the pond where Kim was discovered. Dive teams are working to make sure no possible evidence is overlooked.
Sgt. Tom Weger with Fishers Police said neighbors are doing what they should do: call 911 if they see something unusual. He's also advising residents to lock their doors and garages, and to let others know where they're going and when to expect them back if they're going out for a walk or jog.
The motive is unclear, but police are searching for a person of interest described as a 30-45-year-old white male between 5'8" and 6' tall, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and riding a mountain bike.
