(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Homeland Security Foundation has awarded $30,000 to 15 college students across the state.
Gov. Mike Pence said Friday that the scholarships worth $2,000 each are part of an effort to "help shape the future of public safety."
Students receiving the scholarships attend Indiana colleges and universties and have volunteer experience with emergency management and first responder agencies like fire and police departments.
