(HOLLAND) - State police say a pickup truck slammed into the back of a farm combine on a southwestern Indiana highway, knocking the combine into a guardrail and forcing the highway’s closure for nearly two hours.
The crash happened Monday evening as the combine was driving on Indiana 61 at its bridge over Interstate 64 about 30 miles northeast of Evansville.
Police say the pickup truck driver was taken to an Evansville hospital with a non-life-threatening head injury.
The combine driver wasn't hurt, but the collision forced it from the road and crews had to remove it from a guardrail.
Police say the pickup truck driver is suspected of drinking alcohol before the crash, but he wasn't immediately arrested.
