(MOUNT VERNON) - Attorneys for the two people charged with holding a southwestern Indiana woman captive for two months say they plan on asking for their trials to be moved to another county.
37-year-old Ricky House Jr. and 44-year-old Kendra Tooley attended a Posey County court hearing Wednesday on the rape, criminal confinement, kidnapping and other charges they face.
Authorities say they often kept a 30-year-old woman in a small wooden cage inside their rural mobile home until she was freed in September by Tooley's ex-husband.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports defense attorneys William Gooden and Glenn Grampp told the judge they would likely seek to have the trials moved because of the case's extensive news coverage.
The judge set a Dec. 3 hearing to consider those motions.
