(JOHNSON CO.) - A Johnson County deputy arrested a woman on traffic charges and for pretending to be her twin sister.
According to a report from Deputy Jeremy Witherington, he pulled over a car at about 7:40 p.m. Thursday night on County Road 225E for having a headlight out. The woman in the car identified herself as Amy Alvey but said she did not have any ID on her, so the deputy gathered her name and birthdate and entered it into his computer.
That's when he discovered that two twins were born that day, Amy and Andrea. But records also showed the two had different tattoos, with Andrea having an ankle tattoo while Amy had a spade tattooed on her hand. The deputy asked the driver to show her hand which had no tattoo, but her ankle did.
Andrea Alvey was arrested on charges of false informing and driving while her license was suspended. She was also wanted on a Marion County warrant for driving while suspended.
