(NEW CASTLE) - A central Indiana couple arrested after police found their four children living in a mobile home without water, electricity or a working bathroom face an April trial on neglect charges.
37-year-old Vincent Carl Zanghi and 24-year-old Sheena Ashley Zanghi both face four counts of neglect of a dependent. Their trial in Henry Circuit Court had been set for January, but was recently rescheduled for April 27 at their attorneys' request.
Police sent in June to the couple's rural mobile home near Summit Lake found twin 14-month-old girls in a urine-soaked playpen and siblings ages 2 and 3 sleeping on a urine-soaked mattress in a room with mold-infested walls.
The Star Press reports three of the children appeared dangerously underweight and one of the twin girls had a skull fracture.
