(INDIANAPOLIS) - A Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy was arrested Thursday on a charge of rape in Hendricks County.
A 75-thousand dollar arrest warrant was issued out of Hendricks County for Deputy Craig Ryland along with a no contact order. Ryland was arrested and has since posted bond.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Ryland has been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation. A spokesperson would not comment further because of the ongoing investigation.
Ryland has been with the department since 2007.
Details of the alleged incident have not been released.
