(INDIANAPOLIS) - A bill has been introduced in the Indiana House that would allow guns on college and university campuses.
It's sponsored by Republican Jim Lucas of Seymour, who says it would let people defend themselves in violent situations.
The bill appears to have no shot of advancing.
A spokesman for House Public Policy Committee Chairman Thomas Dermody tells the "Indianapolis Star" that it won't be up for debate or a vote.
Indiana University and Purdue University both have bans in place against guns on their properties.
