(EDINBURGH) - A three-month-long investigation ended Tuesday when police arrested a man for sexual misconduct with a minor.
Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department, with the help of Edinburgh Police, arrested Gonzalo Ocampo-Velazquez, 22, at the 100 block of West Main Street on Jan. 27.
WISH reports, the sheriff's department began an in-depth investigation on the suspect after reports that he had been inappropriately contacting a 14-year-old girl.
According to police, Ocampo-Velazquez made contact with the girl multiple times through Facebook over the past year.
As of Wednesday, Ocampo-Velazquez is in custody at the Bartholomew County Jail on $50,000 bond and faces possible charges of sexual misconduct with a minor.
