(EVANSVILLE) - An Amber Alert issued for two Delaware children ended Saturday night when they were found in Indiana.
The alert was issued for 4-year-old Colette Hamilton and 4-month-old Cortez Hamilton, Jr. of Smyrna, Delaware. Both children, along with their mother, 35-year-old Keisha Hamilton, had not been seen since 10 p.m. Friday.
Indiana State Police were alerted around 7 p.m. Saturday that they children might be traveling to St. Louis with their father, 32-year-old Cortez A. Hamilton, Sr., via Interstate 64.
Two Jasper District troopers saw a red Chevrolet Suburban that matched the description of Hamilton, Sr.'s vehicle near Lynville, Indiana, around 7:30 p.m.
The troopers caught up to the vehicle and, seeing that it had a Delaware license plate, pulled it over. Inside they found Hamilton, Sr., who they placed under arrest, and both children.
