(MUNCIE) - A pilot escaped serious injury following a plane crash in Delaware County.
The single-engine plane went down in a wooded area Sunday. A nearby homeowner took State Police to the scene, where they discovered the plane's pilot, 59-year-old Richard Kingston conscious and alert.
Police said the aircraft had skidded on its bottom across a picked corn field before coming to rest in an area of recently cut trees.
Investigators are looking into what caused the plane to crash.
