(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two people were arrested after throwing drugs from a car during a pursuit.
An IMPD officer tried to stop the vehicle for driving erratically near 10th & Tibbs at 8:40 p.m. Monday. As he approached the vehicle, the officer noticed an open duffel bag that appeared to contain a large amount of marijuana.
The driver fled the scene after the officer asked for the vehicle to be turned off. Officers noticed drugs being thrown from the car during the chase through west Indianapolis streets.
An officer used a PIT maneuver to end the pursuit, though the driver tried to drive away again and struck a second police car.
Both occupants of the car were taken into custody.
Police say a large amount of drugs were recovered from the scene.
