(EVANSVILLE) - An Evansville woman has been arrested in connection with Monday’s house fire on E. Columbia Street.
Police say 48-year-old Tracy Felker was considered a person of interest after the fire. We're told by officers Felker lived in the building and threatened to burn it down several hours before the blaze.
WFIE reports that when police caught up with Felker early Wednesday morning, she said she had no place to live because "she caught her place on fire."
Police brought Felker in for questioning and after talking with her charged her with arson.
She is currently being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
