(INDIANAPOLIS) - Anthem has made an announcement that could prove beneficial to the millions of customers and employees whose information was hacked.
The company has announced that victims can now sign up for up to two years of free ID theft protection and credit monitoring.
Officials say that up to 80 million records were accessed. They've also warned about phishing emails in the wake of the breach.
Officials say that the plan will help accommodate what they anticipate to be "very high" demand for the monitoring service.
Anthem customers can start signing up for the service on Friday.
