(LAWRENCE) - Former Lawrence North High School basketball star, Greg Oden, pleaded guilty last December after his arrest in August for an attack on his ex-girlfriend.
The deal was reached just before Christmas where Oden pled guilty to battery with bodily injury while other charges were dismissed.
As part of the deal, Oden's 909-day jail sentence was suspended and he will spend that time on probation. He must complete 26 weeks of domestic violence counseling, attend Alcoholic Anonymous classes and have no contact with the victim.
Oden was arrested by Lawrence Police on August 7, 2014. Police say the victim was found with blood on her face and cuts on her nose and forehead. Oden reportedly admitted to hitting the victim during a struggle.
