(TERRE HAUTE) - Civic leaders in Terre Haute are launching an effort to improve the city’s image and its quality of life.
A group of volunteers who call their organization Terre Haute Tomorrow has unveiled a 10-year plan for the community. The Tribune-Star reports the plan focuses on quality of life, economic development, infrastructure, leadership and workforce readiness.
The quality-of-life team will work to boost the city's online image and welcome prospective residents with packets describing activities and events.
Other subcommittees will focus on attracting entrepreneurs and improving diversity in the city.
Hamilton Center CEO Mel Burks says the goal of the diversity group is to promote minority participation in the city's key groups and leadership posts.
