(NEWTON COUNTY) - Fire Investigators in Newton County are asking for the public’s help in finding whomever is responsible for setting two abandoned structures on fire early Friday morning.
Fire crews from Brook and Kentland responded to reports of a fire just after 3 AM. When they arrived they found both structures burned to the ground.
The owner of the properties told officials she was unaware of the fires until responders arrived.
Investigators believe the cause was arson as both buildings had no electricity and the weather could not have caused it.
In these cases, it's usually hard to find the parties involved, but anyone with information is asked to call the Newton Sheriff's office.
