Fortville Robbery, Bomb Threat Suspects Apprehended

(GREENFIELD) - A Fortville man and his girlfriend are facing charges in connection with the robbery of a Fortville bank earlier this month.

30-year-old Matthew Jacob Irwin and his girlfriend Brittany Rose Krieg were arrested on Friday for the March 13th robbery of the Fortville branch of Greenfield Banking Co.

Irwin is charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, false informing, intimidation and habitual offender. Krieg was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit robbery, false informing and intimidation.

Anonymous tips were used to identify Irwin as a possible suspect in surveillance video photos released by Fortville police.

Both suspects are being held at the Hancock County Jail in Greenfield without bond.
