(SOUTH BEND) - A northern Indiana man who’s a member of the Latin Kings gang has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting a man who was taking out his trash.
19-year-old Devante J. Harris was arrested and charged Friday in Wednesday's shooting of 36-year-old Joel Pedraza outside the victim's South Bend home.
Authorities say Harris is a member of the Latin Kings who's known as "King Loco."
The South Bend Tribune reports court documents Pedraza told officers who found him in a pool of blood that he was shot by "King Loco" of the Latin Kings.
Pedraza identified Harris as his assailant when police showed him a photo of Harris.
Harris was being held at the St. Joseph County jail on a $200,000 cash or $2 million corporate surety bond.
