(VINCENNES) - Schott-Gemtron is planning to lay-off 65 employees at its Vincennes Plant later this month.
The Evansville-Courier Press reports that company officials plan on shutting down the display unit line effective March 24th.
Company officials noted a "significant downturn" in business led to a corporate reorganization which led to the layoffs.
The newspaper reports that as part of a union contract, laid off workers will be able to displace other employees.
The moves would depend on seniority and job level.
