(EVANSVILLE) - Two Texas men face charges after police reportedly found more than two pounds of meth in their Evansville hotel room Wednesday night.
20-year-old Omar C. Leyva and 19-year-old Edward W. Duckworth were arrested after guests in a neighboring room at the Super 8 motel heard arguing.
When officers arrived, they didn't hear any arguing, however they did smell what they believed to be marijuana. Officers saw a small amount of marijuana in plain view, and when they executed a search warrant, they found 150-thousand dollars worth of crystal meth in a duffle bag.
Both Duckworth and Leyva are preliminarily charged with dealing methamphetamine and possession of both marijuana and paraphernalia.
One of the men reportedly told police that they were in Evansville for the funeral of one of their family members.
