(LAWRENCEBURG) - Were women told to stay away from a school fundraising event involving baseball’s all-time hit king?
The ACLU of Indiana is representing two women who are suing the Lawrenceburg School district in federal court over an event advertised as the first "Lawrenceburg Sports Stag."
The event scheduled for April 8 is being called a fundraiser for the Lawrenceburg High School athletic department. Kelly Eskew, an ACLU staff attorney, says they are only allowing men to come for this evening that they describe as dinner and drinks, live and silent auctions and a talk with baseball legend Pete Rose.
