(WELLS CO.) - A New Haven man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday night in Wells County.
According to an Indiana State Police report, 39-year-old Dennis Summers, was traveling west on U.S. 224 near County Road 700 East when his 2005 Dodge sedan traveled left of center, across the eastbound lane of U.S. 224, and off the roadway to the south where it struck a concrete embankment sending the vehicle airborne.
The vehicle landed on its top and although Summers was wearing his seatbelt police say his injuries proved to be too much for him to survive.
It is believed that alcohol was a factor in this crash and toxicology results are pending.
This crash remains under investigation.
