(PRINCETON) - A motorist was airlifted to a hospital for treatment after a pickup truck and a train collided in southwestern Indiana.
Gibson County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Bruce Vanoven says a 76-year-old man was trying to beat a freight train. He says the truck was struck while crossing tracks east of Princeton, about 25 miles north of Evansville.
WFIE-TV reports the crash occurred about 10:40 a.m. Sunday
The accident remains under investigation by the sheriff's office and by the Norfolk Southern railroad.
