(PRINCETON) - Toyota announced Monday that the high demand and popularity of Toyota cars is leading to the immediate employment of additional workforce at their Indiana plant.
Toyota plans to hire 240 new full-time members to the production team to accommodate the new growth. Hiring will continue through June.
A recent $100 million investment in August 2014 allowed for the production of more than 30,000 new units and the creation of 300 jobs by 2016.
"This growth is a direct result of customer demand for our vehicles," said Dan Potje, vice president of administration. "We're proud that our team will soon approach 5,000 strong."
Aerotek, the staffing agency utilized by Toyota, will be holding a career fair on April 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m, at the Toyota Visitors Center at 4000 South Tulip Tree Drive in Princeton, Indiana.
Other corporations present at the fair will include PIC Group, Superior Maintenance Company, Star Industrial Services, Toyota Boshoku Indiana, Voith, and Vuteq.
All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED to be eligible.
