(VINCENNES) - A southwestern Indiana woman faces theft charges for allegedly stealing nearly $10,000 from the Knox County Parks Department.
A State Board of Accounts audit performed last fall but released this week accuses 25-year-old Amberly Pennell of taking just over $9,800 while working in the Knox County Parks Department office during the first half of 2014.
The Vincennes Sun-Commercial reports that Pennell was arrested in March on felony theft charges and has since posted a $5,000 bond.
The Vincennes woman faces an August 18 trial.
