(UNDATED) - Toyota and Nissan are recalling millions of vehicles due to faulty airbags.
The recalls impact more than 6.5 million vehicles worldwide equipped with airbags made by the Takata Corporation. Most of the recalled vehicles are in Japan, but more than 600,000 were sold in the United States.
The recall affects 35 models globally, including the Corolla subcompact, RAV4 sport utility vehicle and Tundra pickup, produced from March 2003 through November 2007. Front passenger and front driver-side airbag inflators can deploy abnormally.
When combined with earlier recalls, Toyota's Takata-related recalls balloon to 8.1 million vehicles.
Honda vehicles are also being recalled, but did not release a number of vehicles or the models affected.
To see if your vehicle is included in the recalls, check the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website.
