(NEW HARMONY) - Indiana Conservation Officers say a body that was recovered from the Wabash River at approximately 9:30 pm Saturday evening near the town of New Harmony Indiana.
A fisherman was upstream from the New Harmony State Park boat ramp on the Wabash River near Mink Island when he discovered a human body and called 911 around 6:30 pm.
Several agencies responded including the Posey County Sheriff's Department, Posey County Corners Office, Black Township Fire Department, New Harmony Township Fire Department, Posey County EMS, Posey County Dispatch and Indiana Conservation Officers.
More information will be available after the results of an autopsy.
