Celebrate Historic Preservation Month In May

Last updated on Friday, May 1, 2015

(UNDATED) - Historic Preservation Month is coming in May. Hoosiers can celebrate several ways, starting with viewing winning photos from the DNR Division of Historic Preservation & Archaeology’s annual photo contest.

Winning photos are at dnr.IN.gov/historic/3993.htm. Photos from the contest also will be on display at host locations throughout the state.

This year's winners are: Greg Sommer, Most Artistic, for his shot of Ward Township District No. 5 School in Deerfield; Nathan Davis, Best Overall Photo, for his shot of the East Reading Room at Indianapolis Public Library; and Robert Agan, Best Overall Resource, for his photo of Egloff Milling Company in Vincennes.
