(INDIANAPOLIS) - Governor Mike Pence is traveling overseas to create new opportunities for Indiana.
He left Saturday morning for a week-long trip to China. The First Lady and a delegation of Hoosier business leaders went as well.
This marks the sixth international trade mission for Pence since he took office.
China is one of Indiana's largest export partners. The governor hopes this visit will bring even more investment and jobs to Indiana.
"Indiana is simply the best place in America to start a business or grow a business," said Gov. Pence. "I think as people look at the Hoosier State from overseas - as we've seen from our previous foreign trips - they see a balanced budget, they see low taxes, they see common sense regulations, they obviously see the best workforce in America."
Governor Pence will return from China next Saturday.
The trip was paid for through private donations to the Indiana Economic Development Foundation.
