(COLUMBUS) - Columbus police pulled over a suspected drunk driver Saturday, but the driver was arrested after police found drugs.
Sgt. Matt Harris, spokesman for the police department, says officers pulled over the car at about 3:35 a.m. in the 2300 Block of West Jonathan Moore Pike because they suspected the driver was under the influence.
However, as officers tried to talk to the driver, 43-year-old Gary T. Woessner of Greencastle, they noticed what appeared to be drug paraphernalia in the center console.
Woessner was also wanted on a warrant out of Brown County.
During a search of the vehicle, police found a small amount of meth and marijuana.
Woessner was then charged with possession of meth and marijuana.
