Man Accused Of Riding Motorcycle Drunk With Child Onboard

(EVANSVILLE) - A man accused of riding his motorcycle drunk with his child onboard is in critical condition.

Evansville Police say Tracy Abell and his son were riding on First Avenue when another car pulled out in front of the bike, causing a crash.

Both Abell and his son were thrown from the motorcycle.

Officers on scene noticed Abell smelled like alcohol - tested him - and found he was more than twice the legal limit.

He's charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Abell's son is okay, but Abell is in the hospital recovering.

Police cited the other driver for failing to yield.
