(JEFFERSONVILLE) - A southern Indiana prosecutor says he expects to file charges in the death of a 3-year-old girl who died in February.
Clark County Prosecutor Jeremy Mull tells the News and Tribune (he is still waiting on the child's finalized autopsy report and other documents before moving forward in the death of Alexis Arensman of Clarksville. He says the investigation into her death is ongoing.
Days after Alexis' February 22 death, the Clark County coroner reported that her passing was "unnatural." Mull says she suffered from severe abuse before succumbing to undisclosed injuries. He says because of nature of the injuries, the autopsy requires certain unusual steps to be taken. He would not say what those steps were.
