(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis woman is facing life in prison, after stabbing her roommate over 200 times on Wednesday.
23-year-old Kiara Ivette Ciares-Quinones was charged with murder on Friday after the body of her roommate Vilma Soriano was found by neighbors in their north side apartment unresponsive and wrapped in some kind of covering.
Ciares had told neighbors she had killed Soriano before fleeing the scene with a 7-year-old boy and 4-month-old girl belonging to her, and two boys, ages 4 and 2, belonging to a third roommate.
On Thursday an autopsy revealed Soriano had been stabbed 224 times in the chest, neck, face, shoulder, back and head. No motive has been given for the attack.
