Last updated on Tuesday, June 2, 2015

(ELKHART) - A firm that makes aerospace parts is planning a $17.3 million expansion in northern Indiana.

The Elkhart Truth reports details of the expansion were outlined in a request by Kessington Machine Products for a tax break from the city of Elkhart. The company plans to add 121 jobs by the end of 2017, and it currently employs 143 people.

The company makes wheel and brake parts and jet engine components. It's a subsidiary of Dallas-based Blackland Group.

The Elkhart City Council is set to take up consideration of Kessington's tax break request Monday, with a public hearing possible for June 15.
