(COLUMBUS) - A 21-year-old Columbus man was arrested after he got into a fight with a group of motorcyclists Saturday night in a road rage incident.
Officers were alerted to the fight between the two men at 9:30 p.m. near National Road and Washington Street in Columbus.
The group of bikers told police they were nearly hit by an SUV as they were leaving a home on Washington Street. They told police the driver of the SUV yelled profanities at the bikers and then tried to swerve and strike them.
When the motorcyclists and SUV stopped, 21-year-old Trevor M. Sanders allegedly punched one of the bikers in the back of the head.
Sanders told officers that he was allegedly threatened with a weapon by the bikers, however, the cyclist had no weapons.
Sanders was arrested on a charge of battery.
