(TERRE HAUTE) - Last month, the Vigo County Council heard an initial proposal for a tax abatement on an eight million dollar solar farm.
The company Cypress Creek Renewables hoped to bring the farm to the county but wanted to a reduction on the specifics of tax payments. That's what the abatement would do.
But WTHI reported the council voted against the tax abatement, stating the particular model did not support whant an abatement was all about saying the one job the farm would create is not worth it.
