(POE) - Two people have been rescued from the top of an SUV after it got stuck in floodwaters outside of Fort Wayne.
WANE-TV reports the driver had called 911 around 11:15 p.m. Sunday to say her Jeep was stuck in deep floodwater in an area that's about 12 miles southeast of Fort Wayne. The TV station says the water was about 4.5 feet deep.
The two people were given life jackets by rescue swimmers until they could be taken by boat to safety. They were in the water for about 20 to 30 minutes.
According to the TV station, they were evaluated by medics at the scene, but it wasn't clear if they were hurt.
