(FORT WAYNE) - Hundreds of defense jobs are leaving Fort Wayne.
In meetings Wednesday morning, Harris Corporation revealed about 360 jobs will be shifted from the city over the next year. Harris operates Exelis locally.
Company spokesman Tim White says the jobs will be in combat radio production at a state-of-the art facility in Rochester, New York.
White says workers will have opportunities in the company in Rochester, Fort Wayne and other parts of the country and the move is not a reflection of the local work force. More than 500 other workers remain in Fort Wayne.
