(FORT WAYNE) - A Fort Wayne police officer has been cleared of using excessive force when shooting and killing an armed man.
Police responded to reports of shots fired outside a bar in Noverber, 2011. Officer Joshua Francisy saw Antron Pearson outside and yelled for him to show his hands and drop his gun. Pearson was shot when he did not comply.
Pearson's family later filed a lawsuit against Francisy and the City of Fort Wayne.
