(PIERCETON) - Authorities say a northern Indiana man has died after he was pinned under a piece of farm equipment that he was working on.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department said in a news release that 62-year-old Daniel Rex Werstler of Leesburg died Monday at the scene in Pierceton. The sheriff's department says first responders were called to the farm around 5 p.m.
According to the sheriff's department, Werstler was working underneath a planter when the piece of farm equipment shifted. Authorities say he died from blunt-force trauma.
