(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Mike Pence for Indiana Campaign announced more than $1.6 million raised for the first half of 2015, and a record breaking $4.2 million cash on hand.
The $4.2 million figure is a record for an incumbent governor halfway through his first term. The total raised for this period is $1,634,066.82
"These contributions show broad support from all income levels across Indiana," said Marty Obst, executive director of Mike Pence for Indiana. "More than 90 percent of our donors call this state home and over 75 percent of our donations came from Hoosiers."
"Governor Pence enjoys terrific grassroots support," said Fred Klipsch, treasurer of Mike Pence for Indiana. "In fact, 91 percent of the contributions to our campaign during this fundraising period were for less than $100."
