(LAKE STATION) - Excise police issued a summons for a man they say had illegal moonshine and a still to manufacture it.
Lake Station Police Department contacted Indiana Excise Police, whose officers went to the home in the 3600 block of Minnesota Street with a warrant.
Excise officers found a jar of moonshine that tested at 132 proof -- or about 66 percent alcohol. There was also a copper still in a shed.
The owner of the home was cited for possession of untaxed alcoholic beverages and possession of unlicensed equipment for production of alcoholic beverage.
