(BOONE CO.) - A Boone County man who works as a music instructor in Fishers has been arrested for child molestation.
John Olivera faces three counts of felony child molesting. He is being held on no bond at the Boone County Jail.
A judge issued a warrant for his arrest on August 17, 2015 after at least one child made a report to the Department of Child Services in July, which prompted the criminal inquiry.
Sources say the girl came forward saying she hopes to not only prevent others from falling victim to her attacker but also inspire other victims to speak up. She reportedly gave a written detailed account of the alleged abuse by Olivera to her parents.
According to court documents, the alleged abuse took place on July 7, 2015.
Olivera is also a former youth minister at the Indianapolis Baptists Temple.
